Snow Day!

Gosh, I love SNOW!!! If you know me well at all.....you know I love SNOW! What a fun day!

London hung out in her bouncy seat right by the front door so I could see her while we played in the snow outside. She was perfectly happy! By the way, she's four months old this week. Time flies......

He wasn't sure about the snow at first.
Boston really likes lawn mowers. He has two....and both of them were out today. He's so cute.....he said, "Mommy, I mow the no (snow)!" (He can't blend the "s" and "n" sounds yet. Instead of SNow....it's NO.)

Baby Shower!

A great friend got a big surprise Monday night. After a couple months of planning, about 20 people surprised Heather Robertson with a baby shower. And boy was she surprised! (She was also a little disappointed b/c she though she was going out for dinner at the Chop House. Don't worry, Heather. I'm sure you'll get a Chop House dinner soon =0)

We had a great night, and she and Matt were blessed with some great stuff for baby!

Can't wait to meet you little one! Not much longer......

I'm Back!

Ok...I've been back since last Saturday, and I am just now finding time to sit at my computer. I have several things to blog about.....I'll take them one at a time!

1) My TRIP! It was WONDERFUL! I had a great time hangin' with my dear friends. I got a lot of sleep, read 1/2 of a book, played solitaire on my computer...and much more! It was soooo relaxing. Here are a couple pictures:

This is the day we went to the Aveda Institute. We ate at Jason's Deli for lunch....YUM!
Here's Julie doing her thing! She had to have something to crochet while I got my hair cut.
(This isn't a very flattering picture of me....but it's a good one of Julie.)

Yes....I got my hair CUT! I hadn't planned on a big change, but when I got there....I saw a girl's hair that I LOVED! Well.....it didn't turn out that way at all. Oh well. I hope to get it re-cut this week.

2) Skiing! It was so fun! Craig was basically my personal coach for the day! I'd only been skiing one time before, so I had (and still have) a lot to learn. While I got to know the mountain up close and personal (I fell MANY times!), I accomplished alot. I conquered the ski lift and made it down the mountain twice! I know it doesn't sound like a lot....but all that took several hours! =0)

I had a couple pictures of Julie and me at Breckenridge, but Boston accidentally deleted them. Bummer! I do have two pictures of us before and after skiing:

Heaven on Earth

Colorado.

Denver always says, "God was thinking more about heaven than earth when he made Colorado."

I'm here with my dear friends Craig and Julie. Flew in yesterday morning. We ate breakfast at Gunther Toody's. Then, went to Hobby Lobby and dinner at a Mexican restaurant! FUN!!!!

We have some fun things planned. One of the things I have planned is to sleep. AGH.............sleep.

Again, I have to thank my sweet husband for this wonderful getaway trip. If you think about it, pray for him. He's at home with our two sweet kiddos!

Bulb Syringe

Well.....it's been a crazy 2 weeks at our house. Boston came down with a REALLY bad chest cold. Poor guy. We did everything we could to keep London from getting it. I washed my hands so much my skin started to flake! Despite our efforts, she got it too. We took her to the Dr. last Thursday, and she was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis. Everyone is getting much better now....but it was a crazy time.

Now for the funny story.

London was sick. Up coughing ALL night. I am NOT good with nighttime stuff. I need my sleep. So, Denver was up with her.....he's such a good daddy. Around 4:30 am, Denver tells me he thinks she has a fever and is concerned about her breathing. So, I hopped up. Temperature was fine, but she was really wheezing, coughing, and struggling to breath. At one point, she started to gag on something and couldn't "recover" from it. We needed to suck out the "junk." So I yelled, "Denver, go get the bulb syringe. It's in the kitchen!" He runs to the kitchen. I hear him rummaging through the drawers. In frustration (he was taking too long!), I run to the kitchen, pick up the bulb syringe, and say, "UGH! HERE IT IS!!!" At that same moment, Denver holds up the TURKEY BASTER and says, "Here!"

No. I'm not kidding. He got the turkey baster.

I laughed SO HARD! To his credit, I never call it by that name...bulb syringe....nasal aspirator....none of those names. We have always called it the "snot sucker." For whatever reason, in that moment of hysteria, I called it a bulb syringe.

God knew we needed some comic relief that night!

Too Much T.V.?

I never thought I watched a lot of t.v. until today. The t.v. in our downstairs living room was off while I baked some cookie. Boston was in there playing with his stuff animal friends. He called out...."UH OH!" I asked him what was wrong. He said, "The t.v. is broken." I said, "No baby. It's just off."

Wow....if the t.v. is off....he thinks something is wrong. Oh my....

Love Looks Like.....

THIS!!!!!!!

What does love look like??? This is what it looks like to me. We're not perfect...in fact we're very flawed folks. But, we love each other. The good, the bad. The pretty, the ugly. The fun, the not-so-fun. The happy, the sad. The patient, the angry. The love we have is unconditional. It weathers the many storms of life. The love we have is miraculous....because it comes from THE MIRACULOUS......Jesus.

As you celebrate Valentine's Day this week, be sure to examine the "love" you have for yourself and others. Does it look like the love Jesus has and gives to us? I know ours doesn't look like His love all the time.....but I pray it becomes more and more like His love every day.

The love of Jesus Christ is selfless and limitless. I want to love myself and others like that.....
