Easter Cookies!

Boston is not quite ready to decorate Easter eggs, so we made and decorated Easter cookies instead! He really enjoyed making the dough and rolling it out. (He chanted, "Roll it, Roll it, wheels so fat. Roll it down to make it flat!")

He LOVED playing in the flour!Bunny ears! (That's a cookie cutter shaped like bunny ears.)

Our neighbor friend came over and painted the cookies with sugar glaze. FUN!

Iron Chef Boston....sort of.

So I bought Boston an apron and chef's hat, thinking he would love to wear them while he helps me cook and bake. Well......he did wear it, but not b/c he wanted to.

The hat ended up on my head.....Chef Mommy! London just hangs on for the ride!
Our yummy banana bread is ready for the oven! (Noticed that he's not wearing the apron. What a stinker!)

4 nights and 5 months

London turned 5 months old yesterday.

She has slept ALL NIGHT for 4 nights in a row. Yes - ALL NIGHT!

(I'm doing a little dance!!!!!)

Join me in the "Bierman Cheer":
"Way to go London! Way to go, Whoop Whoop!"

Good! Aside from the fact that it is Spring Break and the place was PACKED with kids, I will definitely be taking my kiddos back to Barnes and Noble story time. The structure was:

-craft (optional)
-milk and cookies

I hope to go again next Monday. Hope to see you there! Let me know if you plan on coming so I can look for you! (I'll be there around 10:45.)

Story Time

We're headed to Barnes and Noble for story time. I'll post a "Review" when we get back!

Big Ol' Egg Drop

What a morning! We went to see a helicopter drop 8,000 plastic easter eggs onto a football field. After 90 minutes of waiting in the cold wind and several passes of the helicopter, the egg "hunt" began. Ten seconds later it was over! Boston got 1 egg. Yes......only one. And that ONE egg was really found by Denver. Apparently a little girl had squatted down to get an egg and another egg was right under her. Denver quickly grabbed it so Boston could have one. =0)

All in all.....it was a good morning. When we got in the car to leave, Boston said, "Look what the helicopter brought me! (holding up his egg) That helicopter was a nice boy!"

People Amaze Me!

I am way behind on blogging. I have so much to write about, but haven't had the time. Hopefully next week I will get some fun stories and pictures up for you.

However, I couldn't wait to blog about a couple things. Today I ran to Kohl's. As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw two things that amazed me......and bothered me! =0)

1) I saw a mini-van circling the lot for a parking spot. As it passed by, all I could do is shake my head in disbelief. The van had bench seats, not captain chairs, in the back. There was a lady driving, another lady in the front passenger seat, THREE car seats with kids in the back row -------and in the middle row -------- child, child, adult HOLDING A CHILD, and another child. Okay......is a shopping trip to Kohl's really worth risking your child's safety??????????

2) The second thing I saw in the parking lot is less serious, and only a girl would notice this. (So, guys.....you may not get what I'm about to say.) I saw a lady proudly wearing her white capris. Now, I know the weather is warming up and we are all excited to pull out our spring clothes. Especially a sign of spring/summer are white pants. I like white pants, and even own a pair myself. HOWEVER.......it's not okay to wear white pants (or any color pants) that are really thin. I don't care if someone wears a thong to avoid a "panty line"........I don't want to see anyone's flesh through paper-thin white pants. YIKES!!!!

Sweet Baby...Not Sleeping Baby

Okay..........I'm about to lose my mind. Boston slept through the night at 8 weeks. While we still had to do some "sleep training," he caught on VERY quickly and is a champion sleeper!

Now.............my sweet 4-month-old daughter is a different story. She WILL sleep......if she's held. The girl would sleep for HOURS at a time while lying (laying??) on me. We've tried EVERYTHING - except letting her sleep on her tummy.

Perfect example -
Her last feeding was 10pm last night. She went right down to bed and slept for 1 hour. She woke up at 11pm and cried until 1:30 am. We are trying desperately to do the "cry it out"/"check on her after 5, 10, 15, min" routine. She doesn't care. She cries until she's exhausted. Her naps are horrible! She slept for 45 min. this morning and about 45 min. this afternoon. She's screaming as I type.

UGH!!!!!!!

I've talked to my Dr. Read the books. Searched the internet. Prayed....prayed.....and prayed.

Any advice????

Organic Grocery Store

Man.....I sure wish we had a Whole Foods or Wild Oats in Hendersonville! With all of the development......Does anyone know if H'ville will get one of these AWESOME stores?

Trailer Update

Ok. This is what happened. They were on their way to Fremont, Ohio. They had to stop in Findley, OH to pick up one of the band members at a hotel. The bus was parked on the street in front of the hotel while they were waiting. An intoxicated 18-year-old was texting on his cell phone and slammed right into the back of the trailer. Denver said it looks like an accordian. We think most of the contents are okay b/c they were packed in hard road cases. However....we won't know until we try to use the stuff tonight. (Stuff like instruments, sound board, microphones, merchandise, etc......not cheap stuff.) Denver said we did lose some merch. Nathan, D's brother and our business manager, is taking inventory today. Then......will have to rent a U-Haul, load it, and drive it home tomorrow. Poor guy......

There are MANY praises here! Once again GOD is mighty and ever-present to protect his children AND the "stuff" he entrusts us with. He protected not only the guys and the "stuff".....but other people on the road ...... AND this kid who obviously has some things in his life that aren't good for him. Thank you GOD for your love and protection!

This whole thing brings up another issue too. Aside from the fact that this kid was drunk........he was texting while driving. Drunk or not.......it's not a good idea. I have to admit that I have texted while driving. This ordeal will make me think twice! Do you text...or have you texted while driving?

DMHO Drama.....

Well, just talked to Denver this morning. They are in Fremont, Ohio (VERY northern Ohio) today for a concert. Apparently the trailer they pull behind the bus was totaled last night. I have no idea what or if anything was damaged inside of the trailer....but the trailer itself was deemed "totaled" by the police. An 18-year-old driver was high and intoxicated......and hit it. Thank GOD he didn't hit the bus.

When I talk to Denver.....I'll post more details. Please pray that State Farm is very cooperative. Also......please pray for the "kid" who is now in A LOT of trouble...........

Computer Doctor

My computer is giving me fits. Does anyone know of a good, trustworthy place to have my computer worked on?

Surgery Update

Got home around noon yesterday. The surgery went fine. However, Dr Cox was unable to place the implants. Bummer! There needs to be sufficient bone for the little metal screw to be placed in my upper jaw bone. So, I have to wait about a year before I can have that done. For now....time to heal.

Thanks for praying! Please continue to pray that I have a quick recovery with no complications.

Surgery Tomorrow

Tomorrow at 9:15 am, I will be sleeping like a baby! (Well, not my baby. She is still not sleeping well.) I have my oral surgery in the morning. Yippee. I am glad it's here and will be over soon.

Please pray I will react normally to all the anesthesia and pain meds. Also pray that my surgeon will be able to place the implants after removing the two ornery teeth that have caused all this dental drama.

Thanks!!!
